Received notification the other day that my surgery is booked for 13 July! Arrangements are underway for travel and sick leave. Have been doing some "pre-hab" swallowing and speaking exercises which should help recovery and function. Going in for colonoscopy next week and then surgery the following week so I expect time will "fly." Went to a local cancer support group last week and its nice to meet others who are in various stages in treatment, recovery, remission. We all have similar experiences however not all the same... if that makes sense! A small but great group that is taking a break over the summer months but should meet again in September.
Not complaining but coping with some record breaking temps and summer weather. Still feeling well and strong and appreciate everyone sending kind words and thoughts. No other news I guess. Richelle may provide some inputs as I may have limited access/function for a little while. Will try to post again before the surgery!
Glad to hear your feeling so confident with your medical team. That's a big relief I'm sure. Thank you again for your blog (I am still figuring out how to "follow " it lol) it's inspiring and well written.
